About the Product

Channe Mane is a traditional Indian counting game played on a board featuring fourteen pits arranged to hold and move playing pieces. Games of this kind have long been enjoyed as part of household traditions, combining simple physical actions with counting, planning, and an understanding of how pieces move between spaces.

During play, participants distribute and transfer shells between the pits according to the game's rules. They must keep track of the pieces, follow the sequence of moves, and consider how each action affects what remains on the board. This creates a hands-on experience that brings together observation, numerical thinking, and strategic decisions.

The Heritage edition celebrates a traditional pastime that can be shared between generations. Its tactile style of play offers an opportunity to introduce children to counting games while allowing adults to revisit a familiar form of traditional recreation. It also provides a natural setting for family interaction and cultural storytelling.
